Natalie Portman, James Franco in cleaner “Your Highness” clip

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Notice anything unusual about the latest “Your Highness” poster? Namely that Danny McBride is front and center, flanked (but clearly overpowering) two would-be Oscar nominees in James Franco (“127 Hours”) and Natalie Portman (“Black Swan”).

Well, McBride and “Highness” director David Gordon Green have a professional history. And McBride did co-write “Highness” with Ben Best. Maybe he helped design the poster, as well? If so, someone ask him what happened to Zooey Deschanel?!

We’re kidding, mostly. People are going to check out “Your Highness” next April because of the pairing of McBride and Franco with the impossibly beautiful Deschanel and Portman, Oscars or no Oscars. An amusing red-band trailer made it online a few weeks back. Now we have a new, safer trailer (what happened to Portman’s legendary thong?) and the poster below.

“Highness” has a ton of comedic potential, particularly is you dug films like “Pineapple Express” and “Observe and Report.” It opens everywhere on April 8.
