Robert Pattinson’s “Water for Elephants” moves release date back

By Sean O’Connell Robert Pattinson fans (you know who you are) patiently waiting for the red-hot star’s next picture will have to wait just a little bit longer.

That’s because 20th Century Fox announced today that “Water for Elephants,” the adaptation of Sara Gruen’s bestselling novel, has been pushed back one week from April 15 to April 22. “Elephants” stars Pattinson as a young veterinarian who joins the circus and falls for the Big Top’s main attraction (Reese Witherspoon).

It’s not the only change on Fox’s schedule. The studio also is moving the animated 3D film “Rio” from April 5 to April 15.

Release dates shift constantly as the calendar year settles. But I know Pattinson’s fans want “Elephants” to shift forward a week, and not backward a week.
