‘Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star complains of stolen bags

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Lisa Vanderpump has been having a rough time lately. Not only was she in the middle of a physical altercation, but she is still recovering from the loss of four handbags.

The four designer purses were reportedly stolen out of her room at the Soho Grand Hotel in NYC, states RadarOnline.com. The reality TV star claims that the hotel management didn’t really help in the situation either.

“They told me I should have put my purses in the room’s safe. Come on, the safe wasn’t big enough to fit a wallet inside. The room is suppose to be safe,” Vanderpump complained.

Then after contacting the hotel’s insurance department, Vanderpump and her husband Ken were told the purses will not be replaced.

Do you think she was treated wrongly in this matter?

Sounds like employee theft. Don’t they have cameras in the hallways? Although, I suppose it’d be awfully easy to wheel in the housekeeping cart and load it up with goodies and not be noticed. There should be cameras in the areas where the linens et al are unloaded so stolen merchandise can be seen. You know this was an inside job. However, there’s no way to prove what was there in the first place….and it’s not like the Vanderpumps cannot afford insurance, and let’s face it, they can afford to replace the items without it making a dent in their finances.

I hope they made a big deal of this simply to alert the public of what is happening to customers at this particular hotel. There is obviously an employee theft ring, so don’t leave anything in your room.

I’m sure if the hotel has a thief on staff, they’ll be caught eventually. Guess she learned not to take excess with her to NYC!

If I stay at the SoHo, should I also leave my laptop in the safe to protect it from housekeeping?

The hotel response tells me my items are not secure in a room and I should not stay there.

    Great PR!
