Justin Bieber gets backlash from Ground Zero mosque opponents
HollywoodNews.com: It looks like Justin Bieber has found himself in a bit of hot water over some comments he apparently made about the debate over the mosque at Ground Zero. A few groups have come out of the wood work proclaiming that Bieber supports the building of the controversial mosque at Ground Zero, Park51.
Andy Sullivan, the founder of the 9/11 Hard Hat Pledge – an agreement among construction workers to refuse to work on the planned mosque, has come out to challenge Bieber’s apparent comments. Sullivan has even gotten his kids involved and has banned them from attending any upcoming Justin Bieber shows.
“My little girl took down his poster and said she didn’t want to have nothing to do with him anymore. These are my kids. They’re living this thing,” The National Post reports.
The only problem with Mr. Sullivan’s claim against the young pop star? No one can seem to find the comments that Bieber allegedly made, prompting suspicions that Sullivan may be basing his claims on a completely fictional, satirical interview with Bieber conducted by CelebJihad.com.
So, until someone can come forth with any proof that Bieber took such a staunch stance on the issue, we can’t be too quick to accuse the singer, Mr. Sullivan included.
