More from Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka about twins

By Greg Hernandez

HollywoodNews.com: The new interview with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka in ‘People’ magazine reveals that Neil is called “Papa” while David is called “Daddy.”

Neil revealed why the couple, together nearly seven years, decided to have a family now: “We wanted to wait until the timing was right. I always thought I’d make a good parent, but I was single and led a solitary life for many, many years. Then I met David, and he had experience with kids and wanted to have a family too. In a previous relationship of hid, [his partner] had already started the surrogacy process on his own so David got to help raise his kids.”

David says his former partner’s kids “never called me Dad, but I’m still a very special uncle to them.” They still see the kids a lot.

While David had some parental experience, Neil says “we have a remarkable nanny who is sleep-training them. If she wasn’t here, we’d be calling the pediatrician every half hour.

I love Neil Patrick Harris and How I Met Your Mother! It’s an amazing show and he is a terrific actor. I admire his bravery for coming out about his sexuality and glad that he is raising these kids like normal! He is amazing! An inspiration!
