“Social Network,” “Black Swan,” “True Grit” picked by cinematographers

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: The American Society of Cinematographers announced its nominees for its annual awards.

Often an accurate predictor for the five reserved Oscar slots, the ASC this year went with:

– Black Swan (Matthew Libatique)
– Inception (Wally Pfister)
– The King’s Speech (Danny Cohen)
– The Social Network (Jeff Cronenweth)
– True Grit (Roger Deakins)

Last year, four of the five ASC nominees ended up scoring Oscar nominations.

We’ll know if these five make the cut when the Academy Award nominations are revealed on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
