Kanye West’s joke against Britney Spears falls flat

HollywoodNews.com: Kanye West can’t seem to say the right things at all lately and even his attempts at jokes aren’t going over so well.

Kanye took to Twitter to poke a little fun at himself when he wrote to Britney Spears: “Yo Britney, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z’s single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL,” reports UsMagazine.com. The joke was in reference to his incident where he interrupted Taylor Swift at an awards show.

However, the joke apparently didn’t have much impact as Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, responded, “Thanks for ‘letting’ us be #1.” Kanye then wrote a quick response informing everyone that “LOL” meant it was a joke.

Spears’ song “Hold It Against Me” has been at #1 on the iTunes chart.

    His “joke” would have been funny if we all didn’t already know he is such a self-indulgent wiener… He just keeps showing how into himself he is and doesn’t believe anyone else should garner any attention whatsoever. Kanye grow up not everyone thinks your #1 biatch.

    No, he should have kept his trap and tweet shut. After what he did to Taylor Swift, he needs to stop needling other entertainers whether as a joke or not. It wasn’t funny, the fact is Britney does have a huge hit on her hands and people all over the world have responded to it, whether Kanye likes it or not. He might be the more talented artist, but his personality is a turn-off to many!

    I thought the joke was hilarious. I think it’s funny that he can make fun of himself. Jokes aren’t always funny or homesite to everyone. Gosh, at least he did get up on stage & embarrass her like he did w Taylor. I love Kanye, I don’t like all the things he does sometimes but I thought the joke was funny. I thinks it funny bc he’s gotta be a lil crazy to make a comment like that & we all know how crazy Britney is. Obviously her people can’t take a joke.
