Oprah Winfrey’s new network takes on ‘Becoming Chaz’

HollywoodNews.com: Deadline Hollywood reports that OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s new cable network that launched over New Year’s weekend, has recently acquired ‘Becoming Chaz,’ the documentary follows the gender reassignment journey that transformed the only child of Cher and the late Sonny Bono from the female Chastity into the male Chaz Bono.

The film premieres Jan. 23 at the Sundance Film Festival where the formal announcement of the deal is expected to be made. It will air in May.
