Oprah Winfrey thought pregnancy would drive her to ‘kill’ herself at 14

HollywoodNews.com: Oprah Winfrey has just launched her new OWN network, and while she still remains one of the most influential people alive today, the road to success was not always easy for the television star.

Winfrey has made some new confessions during her new interview with Piers Morgan, in which she reflects on one of the darkest moments of her life that occurred when she was a child. She told him, “getting pregnant was a result of bad choices, not having boundaries, sexual abuse from the time I was 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13,” reports Radar Online.

“I thought before the baby was born, ‘I’m going to have to kill myself’.” She even goes as far to admit that she “did stupid things like drinking detergent” in an effort to kill the baby.

In the end, “the stress of that confession caused me to go into labor and the baby died.” However, she admits that the success of today and the launch of her new network has made her “happier” than she’s ever been.
