Twilight Saga publisher to host multi-national fan event

Twilight Saga Author Stephenie Meyer

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: Twilight Saga publisher Little, Brown & Company recently announced the first multi-national fan event dedicated to the series. In conjunction with the April 2011 release of “The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide”, author Stephenie Meyer will host an intimate meeting with fans from eight countries around the world.

“We receive hundreds of travel requests for Stephenie from our foreign publishing partners every year,” said Megan Tingley, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. “Since it is physically impossible for one author to be in so many places, we thought this would be a great way to bring some fans to her.”

Given a focus on countries where Meyer makes few personal appearances, the United States is conspicuously absent from the list. Publishers in Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan and the United Kingdom have been approached to select the participants from their respective countries.
