Peter Jackson recuperating, but ‘Hobbit’ still delayed

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Peter Jackson reportedly is on the mend following surgery for a perforated ulcer.

The Oscar-winning director of the “Lord of the Rings” franchise is recovering in Wellington Hospital’s intensive care unit, where he was admitted with acute stomach pains, according to the New Zealand Herald.

A Wellington Hospital spokeswoman said Jackson was “in a stable condition” and would be spending “several more days in hospital but doctors were pleased with his progress.”

This does mean that filming for Jackson’s “The Hobbit” will be delayed temporarily. It was supposed to start next month.
