HollywoodNews.com: Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem has a knack for playing the bad guy. After all, his turn as a psychotic hit man in 2007’s “No Country for Old Men” won him the gold statuette for Best Supporting Actor.
Bardem is currently considering taking on another villain, this time in MGM’s next James Bond film, which is slated for a November 2012 release. According to The Hollywood Reporter via the Los Angeles Times, Bardem has met with director Sam Mendes to discuss the role of Bond’s newest nemesis.
Although nothing is confirmed as of yet, Bardem told the LA Times that he found Mendes and the role “very intriguing.”
The upcoming Bond film is temporarily titled James Bond 23.
