MTV breaks up with Lauren Conrad – nothing personal

HollywoodNews.com: Although Lauren Conrad has helped MTV through the years with her role in the reality shows ‘Laguna Beach’ and ‘The Hills,’ apparently MTV is kind of over her.

It was recently announced by Entertainment Weekly that her new reality show was not going to move forward with the network. MTV exec David Janollari reported that things just didn’t work out, but that they still love her and would always welcome her back to the network.

However, Conrad apparently doesn’t feel the same way. A statement has been released revealing that there was a reason things didn’t work out, states UsMagazine.com. “MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life,” reads part of the statement. Conrad has previously spoken out that she doesn’t want her personal life on TV anymore.

Are you sad the show won’t air?
