Julia Roberts goes to the dark side in new ‘Snow White’ film

HollywoodNews.com: Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts is getting in touch with her dark side this spring when she begins production on Relativity Media’s “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White” project.

Roberts confirmed today that she will be playing the Evil Queen in this modern take on the fairy tale. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this Snow White project — not to be confused with Universal’s pending Snow White and the Huntsman, which might star Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron — has the fair-skinned princess plotting revenge, with help from the seven dwarves, on the Evil Queen after she kills her father.

Tarsem Singh is slated to direct the project, with Brett Ratner producing. The Brothers Grimm: Snow White is currently scheduled for a June 29, 2012 release.

Do you think Roberts can tap into her evil side to play the Queen?
