Usher, Justin Bieber, share special Grammy moment

Justin Bieber Usher

By Kim Palacios It’s hard to imagine an even younger Justin Bieber, yet footage of the now 16-year old star was pulled out of the archives for tonight’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. Bieber was around 13 when a 2007 video of the not-yet–star performing for Usher was taken. The piece introduced a special spot featuring the duo.

Usher is largely known as the star who discovered Bieber, yet it was Scott Braun who discovered Bieber’s videos on You Tube, became his manager, and ultimately introduced him to Usher. In what can only be described as a cute onstage exchange, Bieber and Usher reminisced about their first meeting before Bieber launched into his performance.

The pair had announced that they had something special in store for their respective performances at the Grammy’s. Their “something special” was a joint performance designed to showcase Bieber’s emerging (read: maturing) style.
