Guy Ritchie NOT helming “300” sequel “Xerxes”

By Sean O’Connell Guy Ritchie apparently will not be trading Sherlock Holmes’ London for Sparta, as rumors previously suggested.

In fact, a Warner Bros. rep states that stories linking Ritchie to a “300” sequel are “an erroneous error,” according to

Ritchie reportedly was going to take over for “300” director Zack Snyder, who moved on to the planned Superman reboot – also for Warner Bros.

EW notes that “Xerxes,” the proposed “300” follow up, could wait until Snyder concludes Superman, because the project, which adapts another Frank Miller graphic novel, hasn’t officially been greenlit yet.
