Twilight star Nikki Reed pens her own blog

Nikki Reed

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: In a world in which celebrities rely on professional bloggers and social media managers, Twilight’s Nikki Reed has done the unthinkable. Instead of farming out copy writing for her official web site to a management company responsible for promoting her career, Reed’s site features a simple blog written by the Twilight star herself.

She doesn’t post often (of late, it’s been once a month or less), but when she does, her words are surprisingly real. From a lack of technical perfection (usually the hallmark of a professionally written celebrity blog), to the personal nature of her topics, the blog reads as extraordinarily intimate. Recent topics have included books she likes, a family vacation, making a friend, and her approach to writing fan letters to artists who she admires. Fans seem to love the site, with several dozen to several hundred fans replying to each post. The site can be found at http://www.iamnikkireed.com.
