Disney, Brian Grazer dash to “The Runner”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: The Walt Disney Studios announced its decision to pick up right to “The Runner,” a science-fiction adventure currently being developed for Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”) to direct.

THR reports that the “Runner” story “centers on a lone man who is sent back in time to change the course of history but who also has a personal motive of saving the love of his life.”

Disney is currently collaborating with writer Dave Andron, Apparatus Entertainment’s Forster and Brad Simpson, Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer, and Blacklight Transmedia’s Zak Kadison and Eric Lieb.

It’s unclear when Forster would dash to “The Runner,” as he reportedly was preparing to mount Paramount’s zombie movie “World War Z.”
