Lady Gaga ends her relationship with Target over broken promises

HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga will always stand up for gay rights which is why she has reportedly decided to end her business relationship with Target.

Gaga first made a deal with Target to allow them an exclusive contract related to her new album, ‘Born This Way.’ She reportedly told ‘Billboard’ magazine that she made the deal upon the notion that Target will start “affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they’ve made in the past.”

However, it sounds like Target didn’t follow through, reports Hollyscoop. According to ‘The Advocate,’ Target reportedly broke their deal by donating money to several anti-gay politicians and organizations.

Lady Gaga’s rep has released the announcement: “Lady Gaga and Target came to a mutual decision to end their overall exclusive partnership.”

I received an email last week thanking me for my pre-order and confirming that Target.com would indeed continue to offer pre-orders for both the standard and deluxe editions of the album – so good news for folks who ordered right away.
