Water for Elephants

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: Though it won’t release for sale until April 19th, details about the “Water For Elephants” soundtrack have finally been announced. The 20-track album will focus on music relevant to the 1920’s setting of the film, containing both vintage and original pieces.

Among Depression-era tracks will be Bessie Smith’s “Need a Little Sugar in My Bowl” and Ruth Etting’s “Button Up Your Overcoat”. Original songs for the soundtrack were composed by James Newton Howard, Grammy winner (Best Score Soundtrack Album for “The Dark Knight”) and five-time Academy Award nominee (Michael Clayton, The Village, My Best Friend s Wedding, The Fugitive, Prince of Tides).

The soundtrack is currently priced at $13.13 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.com
