‘American Idol’: Who handled Motown and who didn’t
HollywoodNews.com: Last night, ‘American Idol’ contestants took on Motown and some of them managed to pull it off while others struggled.
A clear favorite with the judges and crowd was Jacob Lusk who sang “You’re All I Need to Get By,” states People. Steven Tyler was so into the performance that he ended up getting up on stage and hugging Lusk.
Pia Toscano kind of got mixed reviews for her performance of “All in Love is Fair.” While Jennifer Lopez said she was lacking in performance dynamic, Randy Jackson just complained about too many power ballads. However, Steven Tyler had Pia’s back and said she was “the closest thing to a star” this season.
For the most part though, contestants did well overall and didn’t hear too much harsh criticism from the judges.
