Tom Hanks heading to “30 Rock”

Hollywoodnews.com: What is it with major A-listers heading to NBC’s primetime situation comedies?
Will Ferrell will be on “The Office” for multiple episodes. Matt Damon is a regular on “30 Rock.” And now, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars has revealed that he’s lining up to join Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin on the Emmy-winning show.
“RadioMan delivers msg from T.Fey. Result? I’m on 30 Rock! Thanks, RMan Hanx,” Tom Hanks Tweeted Friday night.
Is this conformation that Hanks will appear on Fey’s show? Just thinking about it makes me excited. Like Ferrell, Hanks has TV experience, having started his career (for the most part) on “Bosom Buddies.”
Hanks’ appearance on the show also could help him promote his directorial effort “Larry Crowne,” though that comedy doesn’t come out until July.
This isn’t a confirmation, but Hanks would make an excellent guest on “30 Rock,” so we’re really pulling for this to happen.
