Julianne Hough “star struck” when meeting Tom Cruise

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: To “Dancing With the Stars” fans, Julianne Hough is a major star.

But when the blonde beauty met her “Rock of Ages” co-star Tom Cruise for the first time, Hough admits to being a little star struck, herself.

“I get star stuck over everybody, it’s just, I don’t really show it,” Hough told Access Hollywood while attending CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “Honestly … he’s one of the most welcoming people you’ve ever met. Looks you straight in the eyes — like through your face!”

Hough, Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige are the top-billed cast members in Adam Shankman’s planned adaptation of the hit Broadway musical “Rock of Ages,” which begins shooting soon. Hough said she and Cruise “sat there [and] talked about the script. I’m excited because what everybody’s been saying about him is he’s the hardest working person you’ll ever meet. He’s so invested in it. Nobody will work harder. … And to me, I love that adrenaline of having to keep up with somebody. For me, it’s like, ‘Oh! This is gonna be so fun.'”

We also think it’s also going to be fun for the audience when the musical hits in 2012.
