Could Lindsay Lohan be the next Sharon Tate?

By Pat Ryder When you think of Lindsay Lohan, Sharon Tate is not the first thing that comes to mind. But if the rumors are true, Lohan is being considered for a role as the late actress in an upcoming biopic about Charles Manson.

TMZ reports that Lohan was offered the role of Tate in the upcoming film “Eyes of a Dreamer,” which will be produced by Brad Wyman. Photographer Tyler Shields would star as Manson and direct.

Lohan watchers will recall that she was tapped to play porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming “Inferno,” but was summarily dropped due to her legal troubles and rehab stint. Director Michael Wilder couldn’t hold off filming any longer and Lohan lost the role in November 2010.

At the time, The film’s producer, Chris Hanley told

Lindsay had scheduling issues due to legal obligations and is continuing to focus on getting better in rehabilitation in Palm Springs, and she really had to focus on that in our opinion – and hers.

While we’re sure Lohan’s delicate features could be made to more closely resemble the gorgeous Tate, will Tate’s family want yet another film about Manson’s horrible crimes to see the light of day?

And for Lohan, although it may be a sympathetic role, it’s a far cry from the lead.

If the film goes forward, should Lindsay Lohan take the role?

Lohan’s addictions and legal problems have consumed her. She was/is a very talented woman and I hope she gets her life sorted out and resumes her career. Any role at this point would be welcomed and she undoubtedly will shine in it. She needs to take charge of her situation, no one can do that for her. I wish her luck.

I don’t think Lindsay Lohan could be believable in any role right now. She is just a mess.

I remember Sharon Tate very well and her horrific story. There is no way Lindsay Lohan would even be considered to play this very beautiful tragic girl. What a reprehensible thought.
