Sean Hayes one of Farrelly’s “Three Stooges”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: The Three Stooges were larger-than-life comedians. So far, the Farrelly Brothers are relying on small-screen actors to portray them.

After hiring “MADtv” standout Will Sasso to play Curly in a planned “Stooges” movie that has toiled through developmental hell, THR reports that “Will & Grace” sidekick Sean Hayes has landed the Larry role.

As the trade notes, Hayes hasn’t been seen on screen since 2007’s “The Bucket List,” where he had a minor role alongside Jack Nicholson.

That means Peter and Bobby Farrelly, fresh off “Hall Pass,” now need to find their Moe. The “Stooges” movie, according to THR, will “not [be] a biopic but will be divided into roughly half-hour vignettes.”
