“Sopranos” star Vincent Pastore endorses rubber band on “Shark Tank”

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: ABC’s “Shark Tank” saw a surprise on Thursday’s episode when a fledgling business owner marketing a money clip product called “The Broccoli Wad” showed up with actor Vincent Pastore in tow. Pastore played Salvatore ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero for thirty episodes of the hit series “The Sopranos” from 1999 to 2007.

The product itself, named for its similarity to the thick rubber band used to bundle broccoli bunches, was not immediately loved by the show’s star investors (i.e., the “sharks”). Yet, investor Barbara Corcoran made the inventor a conditional offer–she would provide financing in return for 40% ownership only if the inventor agreed to rebrand the product “The Vinnie Wad” and if Pastore agreed to remain on the team for the long-term as its key endorser. She further agreed to share her 40% equally with Pastore if he accepted the terms.
