Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie among celebs expected at Cannes

Hollywoodnews.com: The official lineup for the Cannes Film Festival won’t be announced until Thursday, but we already know the festival on the exclusive beach will be a star-studded affair.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson are the brightest stars expected to attend the fest in support of various films. This year’s Cannes runs May 11-22.

Penn and Pitt are attending for Terrence Malick’s “Tree of Life,” which is rumored to be part of the lineup. Depp, meanwhile, will support his fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” film, which also stars Cruz.

PEOPLE also reports that invitations to the 64th Cannes Fest “are also out to Rolling Stone Keith Richards, Madonna, Jack Black and France’s First Lady, Carla Bruni, who happens to be making her acting debut in a Woody Allen movie.”

Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” already confirmed as the fest’s Opening Night selection, will bring cast members Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen, Owen Wilson, Kathy Bates and Adrien Brody, PEOPLE reports.
