Oprah Winfrey confirms Obamas for May interview

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Oprah Winfrey has secured major, major guests for her 25th and final television season.

But they don’t much bigger than this.

White House spokespersons and Harpo publicists have confirmed that President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will tape a joint interview in Chicago on April 27 for Oprah to air on May 2, THR reports.

It will be the Obamas’ first appearance together on the show since 2006, though each has been interviewed by the media maven multiple times since Barack Obama took office. He recently kicked off his re-election campaign for 2012, which might be mentioned during the interview.

As for Winfrey, her syndicated talk show wraps on May 25.
