James Franco in full “Planet of the Apes” trailer

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Now we’re talking. Instead of teasing fans with a five-second clip of a CGI ape, 20th Century Fox has posted the full teaser trailer for “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” Rupert Wyatt’s “Apes” prequel that stars James Franco and Freida Pinto.

The teaser is up on Apple’s movie trailer Web site. We’ve also got it below.

An origin story, “Rise” is set in present day San Francisco where a scientist (Franco) finds himself at the cutting edge of medical technology where, according to the site, “mankind’s hubris leads to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

Fox has been moving the film around the release schedule, but it has landed on Aug. 5, which gives me faith in the studio and its belief in the finished product.
