Is “The Nurse” a female “Dexter” for the big screen?

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Doug Aarniokoski’s follow-up to his –not-yet-released “The Day” sounds an awful lot like a female take on Showtime’s serial killer series “Dexter.”

Titled “The Nurse,” the 3D feature follows “a smoking hot nurse with emotional baggage [who] tends to the sick by day, but uses her charms to seduce and then murder philandering men,” Deadline reports.

Aarniokoski will film “The Nurse” this summer for Lionsgate to release. Prior to jumoing in, the director will wrap “The Day,” which stars Shawn Ashmore, Dominic Monaghan and Ashley Bell (pictured) in a sci-fi mystery thriller that’s due to be released later this year.
