Justin Timberlake hosting “SNL” finale?

By Sean O’Connell He may be in “Bad Teacher,” but he has been a pretty good player on “Saturday Night Live,” which explains why the late-night sketch comedy program allegedly has invited Justin Timberlake to host the show’s season finale on May 21.

It was being reported over on The Wrap that an “SNL” employee let this secret slip on the show’s official Twitter feed, but the post has been removed since then. It reportedly read that Timberlake would host instead of Tina Fey, as was being speculated.

But now that the post has been deleted, does that mean Timberlake isn’t confirmed yet? Is “SNL” just waiting to surprise its audience? As mentioned, Timberlake does have “Bad Teacher” on the horizon (it opens June 24). And when Timberlake appears on “SNL,” the results usually go viral. (Hell, “D*ck in a Box.”)

We’ll know soon enough if Timberlake is good to go for the finale.
