Middle-aged fans hold up “Water for Cougars” signs for Robert Pattinson
By Kim Palacios
hollywoodnews.com: If you watched Robert Pattinson’s appearance last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live, you might have caught a glimpse of a distinctive sign that some audience members held up. As the camera scanned the crowd preceding the second half of Kimmel’s interview of Pattinson, a group of middle-aged women held signs marked “Water for Cougars.”
According to Urban Dictionary, a “cougar” is a “35+ year old female who is on the “hunt” for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male.” This definition conflicts slightly with other popular feline classifications for women with a romantic interest in younger men. “Pumas” are said to be in their 30s, “cougars” in their 40s, “jaguars” in their 50s, and “saber tooths” in their 60s.
