Charlie Sheen promises TV return as tour concludes

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Charlie Sheen’s “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour, which took him to multiple venues in major cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, came to a close Tuesday night in Everett, Washington … miles outside of Seattle. So now that Sheen’s done touring, what will he do next?

If you believe the actor, he’s heading back to television … just not on CBS or “Two and a Half Men.”

While HeraldNet reported that the venue (set up for 2,000 seats) had several empty spots, THR notes that Sheen told the crowd he “is planning to star in a competing TV show for another network (in other words, not CBS),” and that the new television program would be “epic.”

Do you doubt it? Sheen’s definitely getting his own show. He is a lightning rod, and networks are starving for content, quality be damned.

But will it be a scripted sitcom? A reality program? Something totally fresh and new, or an unplanned, unrehearsed trainwreck? We’ll know soon, I guess, but I’ll bet the mortgage that Sheen will be on TV in some shape and form, and sooner rather than later.
