Kelly Preston joins John Travolta in “Gotti” film

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: It’s refreshing to have casting news to report on the upcoming crime drama “Gotti: Three Generations” that doesn’t involve Lindsay Lohan (who I’m still not convinced will ever appear in the film).

Instead, we’re learning today that Kelly Preston will join her real-life husband John Travolta in the film in a role she’s built to play: his wife. Travolta has signed on to play John Gotti Sr. Prestin has agreed to play his onscreen wife. Victoria Gotti. And in a strange twist of fate – or a simple act of nepotism, Fiore Films confirms to People that the couple’s real-life daughter, 11-year-old Ella Bleu, will play their on-screen daughter, Angel Gotti.

Marc Fiore, the movie’s producer, said, “The love and passion between John and Kelly … will bring a huge benefit to John Sr. and his wife, and to tell you the truth, they have a lot in common. They both lost a child at a young age and they understand what the Gottis went thru when the Gottis lost their child.”

Right now, according to IMDB, this “Gotti” film has a 2013 release date. We’ll report more as we learn it.
