Jennifer Lopez sings, but who was voted off “Idol?”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Last night’s “American Idol” results show featured a pre-taped performance by current judge Jennifer Lopez.

The pop star, who sometimes moonlights as an actress, performed her single “On the Floor” from her current album, “Love?”

Why was the performance pre-taped? Well, as THR notes, “had to do with concern over the safety of the audience during planned bits involving glass breaking,” though more than likely it just helped keep the live “Idol” show on time. The show has a habit of pre-taping “live” performances so that editing can be tightened for broadcast.

But who got voted off? If you haven’t seen the episode yet and want to be surprised, please stop reading.

After the votes were tallied, Jacob Lusk was sent packing from the ongoing competition. That means four contestants are left, and your “American Idol” either will be James Durbin, Scotty McMcCreery, Lauren Alaina or Haley Reinhart. Two males and two females, but no contestants of color. Odd mix.
