Jennifer Lopez is the “Hollywood Celebrity of the Week”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Jennifer Lopez is the true definition of a triple threat.

There’s J-Lo, the television personality. Her most visible platform of late has been “American Idol,” where Lopez has served as mentor and judge for the show’s vibrant season. And when she’s not gently critiquing the contestants, Lopez is tearing the roof off of the joint with video premieres and performances from her latest album, “Love?”

That leads up to J-Lo, the musician. “Love?” is her first album since 2007’s “Brave,” returning Lopez to the music charts she once dominated. It’s like she never left. The single “On the Floor” topped 18 national single charts, mainly in Europe. It has been certified double-platinum in Australia and platinum in Italy, Switzeland and the United States, as well as earning six other gold certifications.

And finally, there’s Jennifer Lopez, the movie star. As we reported late last month, Lopez has signed on as a voice for the fourth “Ice Age” picture, joining Jeremy Renner, Ray Romano and Denis Leary. No matter the medium, Lopez has mastered it, and that’s why we are very proud to announce that she has been named the “Hollywood Celebrity of the Week.”
