“Kung Fu Panda” babies and Mother’s Day wishes

Hollywoodnews.com: We’re learning more details about the story driving “Kung Fu Panda 2,” the sequel to Paramount and Dreamworks’ 2008 hit which took in more than $630 million dollars at the global box office.

It’s long been rumored that the story would find Po the Panda (Jack Black) exploring his roots, and this new photo of bay Po – pictured above – seems to back that fact up. In addition to learning where Po came from, IMDB declares that the dragon warrior will have to tackle an old enemy who possesses a deadly new weapon.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson directs the sequel, which features returning stars Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and James Hong. Newcomers to the franchise include Gary Oldman (as Lord Shen) and Jean-Claude Van Damme (as Master Croc).

And now, Paramount wants you to send a virtual Mother’s Day card to your mom using Baby Po as the messenger. To send an e-card, visit www.KungFuPanda.com. And look out for the movie, which opens everywhere on May 26.
