Hollywoodnews.com: As Arnold Schwarzenegger prepares to transition from politician back to being a movie star, it appears he will be flying solo.
Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, have announced that they are “amicably separating,” though neither has necessarily dropped the “divorce” word yet, according to CNN.
“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us,” the long-time couple said in a statement.
“After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart, while we work on the future of our relationship.”
Twenty-five years is a long time together. As mentioned, Schwarzenegger, 63, is trying to get back into the acting realm, while Shriver has remained active in television news and journalism. The couple has four children, aging in range from 14 to 21.
