Beyonce is the “Hollywood Celebrity of the Week”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Beyonce doesn’t run the world … yet. But once her record officially drops and that red-hot dance anthem “Run the World (Girls)” starts thumping, can world domination be far behind?

Beyonce has been making the usual rounds, preparing people for her latest track. She mentored the last three contestants on “American Idol” (where they also premiered her latest video for the millions of people watching). She swarmed the daytime talk shows. And she’s preparing to perform on the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night.

Oh, and she’s just getting started. Though her album doesn’t street until June 28, Beyonce will be busy whipping up a female-empowered media frenzy, heading out on a European tour in June and July before heading back to the States. And she released a sneak peek at her album cover. Fierce? Better believe it.

As the summer of Beyonce gets underway, we are proud to reveal that the singer-dancer-artist has been named our “Hollywood Celebrity of the Week.” Who runs our world? Beyonce.
