Transformers TV spots tease massive robot carnage

By Sean O’Connell We’re now officially in the thick of the summer blockbuster season, where virtually every scene at your neighborhood multiplex has some big-budget popcorn adventure, sequel, or 3D animated feature beckoning audience members.

And it only gets bigger. As “The Hangover Part II” and “Kung Fu Panda 2” start punching their way across movie screens, Michael Bay is taking to our televisions to tease his upcoming “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” sequel.

Two new TV spots have been posted to Bay’s official Web site. Like the previous teases, they are LOADED with robot carnage. One tagline warns viewers that the “battles” are over, but the “war” is just beginning. And both feature that spectacularly memorable set piece of a tentacled Transformer ripping a skyscraper in half.

Want to see them? We’ve got them below. “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” opens everywhere on IMAX and in 3D on June 29.
