NBC putting “The Voice” in post-Super Bowl slot

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Here’s a vote of confidence for NBC’s newest reality competition. The network just revealed that “The Voice” will air in the coveted post-Super Bowl slot.

You know, I there actually is a Super Bowl.

“There is no better showcase on television than to follow the Super Bowl, and we believe ‘The Voice’ is deserving of such high-profile exposure,” said Bob Greenblattm chairman of NBC Entertainment, in a statement.

“The attention grabbing blind audition phase of ‘The Voice’ has mass appeal and will fittingly team up with the biggest sporting event of the year.”

An hourlong episode has been scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 5, following the network’s telecast of Super Bowl XLVI. Now we just need the NFL to settle its labor dispute so a Super Bowl can actually happen. Can Cee-lo Green help?
