Twilight’s Jackson Rathbone is Team Edward

By Kim Palacios As expected, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are head-to-head for “Best Kiss” and “Best Male Performance” in the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. In a recent interview with MTV News, the Twilight Saga’s own Jackson Rathbone revealed who he’s rooting for to win.

Said Rathbone in reference to his “Best Kiss” pick, “I’m gonna have to side with my brother and go with Rob there,” referring to his role as vampire Jackson Whitlock, foster brother to Pattinson’s Edward Cullen. “To me, [Edward and Bella’s kiss] was… a long time coming…an understanding between two lovers, and I think there’s a lot of pent-up sexual aggression there, being young and a vampire.”

In reference to the “Best Male Performance” category, said Rathbone, “I love both guys…but I’m gonna have to once again side with my family and go Robert Pattinson.”
