Twilight sweeps MTV Movie Awards…again

hollywoodnews.com: Unsurprisingly, the Twilight films swept the MTV Movie Awards with wins in every category for which it was nominated…again. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, together, won “Best Kiss”; “Best Male Performance” and “Best Female Performance” was won by each, respectively. “Best Fight” was won by Robert Pattinson, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Xavier Samuel. Finally, “Best Movie” was won by “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”.

Among early nods for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” that didn’t make it into the finals were “Best Villain” (Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel were each nominated in early rounds), “Best Line from a Movie” (Robert Pattinson was nominated for “Doesn’t he own a shirt?” and Taylor Lautner for “Let’s face it–I’m hotter than you.” In early rounds). Also, Xavier Samuel was nominated for “Best Male Breakout Star” in early rounds, a category that appears not to have made it into the finals.

The sweep on the part of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was a repeat of last year’s results for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. The cast of Twilight (in almost identical configuration) took home five of twelve golden popcorns in 2010.
