JIm Carrey wants to auction MTV green-screen suit

Hollywoodnews.com: Jim Carrey stole Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards when he took to the stage in a “projection suit” made from green screen. The clothing turned the “Ace Ventura” star into a walking movie screen, upon which he decided to show special effects, explosions and two dogs making whoopee. Alrighty then!

“Traditionally, entertainers not unlike myself have tried to grab people’s attention by being outrageous, flashy or even rude for the sake of shock value,” Carrey said from the stage. “They might even go so far as to come on stage wearing a suit that is the cutting edge of chromakey technology just to show you their ‘Boing!'”

Afterwards, Carrey spoke to MTV and revealed that he’d like to auction the suit off for charity.

It was an inspired visual gag from a visually gifted comedian. What did you think?
