Katie Couric gets one-hour, daytime talk show deal
HollywoodNews.com: Katie Couric has finally decided on her next career move after ending her most recent job with CBS ‘Evening News.’
Couric will now reportedly be hosting and producing her own nationally syndicated, one-hour, daytime talk show, states UsMagazine.com. Couric will be working on ABC for the new program and is more than excited about it all.
“I’m very happy to be returning to the network where I began my career as a desk assistant in 1979. It is tremendously exciting to have the creative freedom to develop my own show with Anne Sweeney, the Disney/ABC TV Group and Jeff Zucker, and to contribute to such a vibrant, innovative news division,” Couric commented in a statement.
The show will premiere in September 2012.
