Charlie Sheen ineligible for Emmy Awards this year

By Sean O’Connell Considering the fact that his catchphrase is “winning,” Charlie Sheen didn’t try very hard to win an Emmy this year for his truncated work on CBS’ hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”

Sheen will not be eligible for an Emmy this year because he “failed to submit himself for consideration” even though the Academy extended their deadlines so Sheen could be considered with his former cast mates, THR reports.

Sheen, however, failed to meet that extended deadline, as well.

The “Men” co-stars have been submitted, as did guest star Jane Lynch, but Warner Bros. did not submit the entire show for consideration in the comedy category.
