Shia LaBeouf swears fifth “Indy” is “not so far off”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: As Shia LaBeouf hits the promotion trail for his latest “Transformers” sequel, he’s also teasing another potential sequel from a different series that also falls under Paramount’s umbrella.

LaBeouf, who played Mutt Williams in the fourth Indiana Jones movie, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” told MTV that a fifth movie is “not so far off,” and just a few more pieces need to fall into place.

“I talked to Harrison. He said he’s staying in the gym,” LaBeouf said. “He said that he’s heard no word, but he does know that George [Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin. But he said to me he’s staying in the gym, so that means it’s not so far off.”

Saying Ford has heard “no word,” isn’t that promising, but rumors have been circling for a while that Lucas has the idea for the fifth movie, but no script has been assigned. So while Indy lifts weights, a patient audience waits to see if there will be more adventures after “Crystal Skull.”
