How many tuned in to Oprah’s TV finale?

By Sean O’Connell The official numbers are in regarding Oprah Winfrey’s farewell TV address, and they are staggering.

The “Winfrey Show” finale drew 16.4 million viewers, giving the media queen her highest ratings since 1993, according to Nielsen figures released on Wednesday.

The finale actually outdrew Oprah’s star-studded, two-part blowout from Chicago’s United Center, which reportedly grabbed 10.2 and 10.7 ratings.

As for Winfrey’s plans now that the show is over, THR says she plans to take an extended vacation before diving into her OWN Network full time.
