Dakota Fanning’s “Oh Lola!” photos play more like “Lolita”

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: The new face of Marc Jacobs’ “Oh, Lola!” fragrance is child star turned teenage celebrity Dakota Fanning. Yet, early photos from the shoot characterize the the 17-year-old as more of a “Lolita”. The slight actress is shown wearing a sheer, light polka-dot dress, with the large flower-capped bottle in hand. Her childlike posture is belied by an…erm…mature look Fanning levels at the camera in a scene that is truly reminiscent of Nabokov’s wiley protagonist.

Jacobs himself admitted to Women’s Wear Daily that ” This Lola is more of a Lolita than a Lola, but we weren’t going to call the fragrance Lolita. Lola is more seductive; Oh, Lola is sensual, but she’s sweeter.” The fragrance is a spinoff of one of Jacobs’ earlier fragrances for less youthful women, “Lola.”
