Liam Neeson to reprise “Dark Knight” role?

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: Josh Pence will play a young Ra’s Al Ghul in 2012’s Batman sequel “The Dark Knight Rises”; but will Liam Neeson reprise his role as an older version of the character? Reports that Neeson has been spotted on the London set of the film—not as a visitor, but shooting scenes—seems to confirm the rumor. Still, Warner Brothers made no immediate or official comment.

Given the character’s dramatic end in an earlier “Batman” film, it is unsure at what point in time or in what capacity the Ra’s al Ghul character will be resurrected. As do all “Batman” franchise villains, the Ra’s al Ghul character has complex relationship to Batman–charismatic leader of the League of Shadows, archenemy, and mentor.
